Woodware Colour Blocks Day 2

SNEAK PEEK ........SNEAK PEEK........SNEAK PEEK......SNEAK PEEK.......SNEAK PEEK

This week we are looking at colour blocks, my interpretation of this title you can see below in my card.  Also the stamp I have used is a new stamp from the new released from Woodware and should be available in stores from about 6th July.  So this week my card is a SNEAK PEEK at one of the latest Woodware Clear Magic Stamps.

So here is my card

Items used

Glossy Accents
Black Onyx Versafine Ink pad
FRS342
Colouring medium of your choice, they do need to be strong colours.  (I used alcohol pens)
Piece of hammered white card
DL card blank
Scraps of red, orange, yellow, blue and green card
Black pigma micron pen

Method

1  Take the card blank and fold, so that the size is DL

2  With the Black Versafine ink pad stamp the monster image on to the piece of white hammered card.  Whilst waiting for the image to fully dry take the  black micron pen and faux stitch around the outer edge of this white panel.

3 Once the ink and the faux is done and dry use the colouring medium of your choice and colour in the monster images in.

4 Use the Glossy Accents to colour in all the eyes, I left mine overnight to make sure the Glossy Accents was really dry.

5  Take a piece of black card and cut a matt with a very narrow border to go behind the image panel.  This black will make the image pop.

6 The scraps of red, yellow,  green, orange and blue are cut so that on the finished  DL card the colours will be revealed behind the image and appear as blocks of colour.

7  Cut another Black mat which covers the entire front of the DL card.  The image panel is then placed centrally on this black panel, this in turn is attached to the DL card .

There you have my interpretation of 'colour blocks' as well as a Sneak Peek at one of the new  release stamps.

Thanks for stopping by, for more ideas and inspiration check out the  Woodware blog.
